JAMES H. DAGUE DIES EARLY THIS MORNING
Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon
James H. Dague, 65, former Decatur lumber dealer and saw mill operator, died at 4:45
o'clock this morning at his home 1119 North Second Street, following an illness of
three years.
A lumber dealer for many years, he also was a partner in the Lenhart & Dague saw
mill in this city.
He was born in Mercer County, O., Sept. 2, 1885, a son of John and Etta Riley-Dague,
but had lived in Adams County practically his entire life, and in Decatur since 1933. His
first wife, Martha Young, died in 1912, and he was married to Ida Gephart Dec. 1_, 1915.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters: Mrs. Cecil Dean of Decatur and
Mrs. Gladys Gibson of Hoagland; one son, William Dague of Salem; 13 grandchildren; 4
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Sydney Dague of Pleasant Mills. Three brothers and
one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Saturday at the Zwick funeral home, the Rev.
Vernon Riley officiating. Burial will be in the Tricker cemetery. Friends may call at
the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
