WILLIAM DAGUE TAKEN BY DEATH
William F. Dague, 61, of Berne route 2, died suddenly at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday while at
work at Dunbar Furniture Co., in Berne, where he had been employed as a welder for 12
years.
He was employed for a number of years at the Kraft Co. plant in this city until it was
closed, and was also employed for six years at Meshberger Bros.
Born in Blue Creek Township, Nov. 23, 1910, he was a son of James and Martha
Young-Dague and was married to Lela Baumgartner, July 8, 1938.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Philip (Bonnie) Hammitt of Berne, route
2; Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Myers of Decatur, route 6; and Mrs. Michael (Jane) Conner of
Bluffton; two sons, Donald W. Dague of Hoagland route 1; and Larry W. Dague of Berne,
route 2; one sister, Mrs. Russell (Gladys) Gibson of Hoagland; and 14 grandchildren.
One sister, Mrs. Cecil Beam, is deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Zwick funeral home,
with Rev. Robert James officiating. Burial will be in MRE Cemetery at Berne. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m.today until time of the service.
