DECATUR WOMAN DEATH'S VICTIM
Mrs. Pearl Bebout Richards Dies This Morning After Long Illness
Mrs. Pearl Bebout Richards, 28, wife of Alton Richards, 721 Elm street, died at 9:50
o'clock Monday following a six months illness. Death was due to tuberculosis.
Mrs. Richards had resided in Decatur for the last three years and previous to that time
had lived in St. Mary's township. She was a member of the Church of God.
The deceased was born in Blue Creek Township, October 19, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John Bebout of Hoagland, who survive. She was united in marriage to Alton Richards,
five years ago.
Surviving besides the husband and parents are two children, Patsy Louise and Peggy Lou,
and the following brothers and sisters: Thruman Bebout, Fay Bebout, Mrs. Vern Niblick of
Fort Wayne; Mrs. Chester Stutler, Sarah, Clyde, Ruth, Bertha, Gale and Bobby Bebout.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at
1:30 o'clock at the Church of God, the Rev. Glenn Marshall, pastor of the church, will
officiate and burial will be made in the Mount Hope cemetery.
The body will be removed to the home from the Zwick Funeral Home this evening.
