CHILD MEETS DEATH UNDER WHEELS OF SCHOOL WAGON
Decatur, Ind - Oct 22
The 2 year old daughter of Mrs. Maggie Andrews of Bobo, and of Charles Andrews, who is
a soldier and fighting in France, died yesterday at 3 o'clock when it slipped from the
door of the school transportation wagon driven by it's grandfather, John Thatcher,
Sunday evening and fell under the front wheel of the heavy conveyance which ran over its
hip and then across its chest, crushing the chest badly, especially at the left side in
the region of the heart. Serious internal injuries were suffered. An open funeral will
be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 in the U. B. Church Yard at Bobo.

Decatur, Oct. 22 - Injuries received by Audrey Mary, 2-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles C. Andrews, Saturday afternoon in a fall from a wagon, resulted in her death
Monday afternoon at the home of her grandfather, John Thatcher, near Bobo. The little tot
was riding in the wagon when the door came open and she fell forward behind the horses,
striking a step in the fall, and one of the front wheels passed over her body. The
babe's father is a soldier in the American expeditionary forces in France. Funeral
services will be held in the U. B. church yard at Bobo, Wednesday afternoon at 2
o'clock.
