Glenn A. Workinger, 90, route 1, Monroe, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday in the Adams County
Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized three days.
A retired farmer who had been affiliated with Indiana Farm Bureau for 15 years, Mr.
Workinger was born April 7, 1891, in Blue Creek Township to Charles and Amanda Myers
Workinger. He was married on October 5, 1912, to Mary Wechter, who passed away January 18
of 1979.
Mr. Workinger was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church, having served on its
administrative board and as a trustee; was a former member of the Adams Central Board of
Education; and was a charter member of the Monroe Lions Club.
Survivors include two sons, Charles (Chuck) and Dale Workinger, both of route 1 Monroe;
two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Fern) Rowden of Monroe and Mrs. Rena (Flo) Brandt of route 1
Wolcottville; two brothers, Harry Workinger of route 1, Monroe and Loy Workinger of Fort
Wayne; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Eva Ray, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Monroe United Methodist
Church, Rev. Willia K. Rapp in charge, and burial will be in the Ray Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight
and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Tuesday.
