JACK L. STETLER
Jack L. Stetler, 55, Willshire, Ohio, died unexpectedly at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday from a
heart attack suffered at work at Roy Price and Sons Farm Service, route 6, Decatur. He
was dead on arrival at Adams County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 2, 1934 in Willshire, Ohio to Walter and Daisy August Stetler and
married Helen Carr on November 19, 1960; she survives.
He was a truck driver for the Price firm the past two years. He retired in 1986 from
the Fort Wayne International Harvester plant after a 32-year career. He was a member of
the Decatur Moose Lodge 1311, Willshire Sportsman's Club, and Homer Pierson Post 207
of the American Legion in Willshire. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Other survivors are two sons, Brent Stetler, route 7, Decatur and Eric Stetler,
Willshire; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Jackie) Ogg and Mrs. David (Sheri) Wannemacher,
both of Willshire; five sisters, Mrs. Maxine Huffman, Mrs. Edgar (Okie) Fuelling, Mrs.
Kenneth (Mary Lou) Suman, and Ann Young, all of Willshire and Mrs. Luther (Anita) Sovine,
Pleasant Mills; and six grandchildren. Two brothers, Gene and Charles "Chubb"
Stetler are deceased.
Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Zwick-Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home, Rev.
Emmet Cox officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery. There will be full military
graveside rites by the American Legion post. Visiting hours are 2-9 p.m. Thursday.
Preferred memorials are to the Parkway school system's athletic association or
Willshire United Brethren Church.
