JOSEPH S. WICKEY
Funeral services for Joseph S. Wickey, 20, are at 9 a.m. Friday in the Jacob
Brandenberger home, 17326 Ehle Rd., Woodburn, with burial in Amish Cemetery, New Haven.
Visiting hours at the Brandenberger residence are at any time.
Mr. Wickey, a resident of rural Woodburn and a former resident of Geneva, died at 11:15
a.m. Tuesday in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, of injuries suffered March 21 in a
collision of his horse-drawn buggy and a car on US 27 near Monroe.
Mr. Wickey was born in Adams County on November 12, 1970 to Jacob R. and Anna May
Steury Wickey. The mother is deceased; the father lives in rural Geneva.
He married Marie Brandenberger around the time he moved to the Woodburn area nine
months ago; she survives. He was a member of the Old Amish Order.
Other survivors are six brothers: Daniel, Rudy and David Wickey, all of route 1,
Monroe, and Jacob, Amos and Enos Wickey, all of rural Geneva; seven sisters: Barbara
Brandenberger, route 1, Monroe and Rosie Schwartz and Esther, Susanna, Katie, Dena, and
Anna M. Wickey, all of rural Geneva; and grandparents, Samuel and Esther Troyer, Somerset,
Ohio.
Funeral arrangements are by Hockemeyer Funeral Home, Harlan.
