Warren A. Wherry Dies This Morning
Funeral Services Thursday Afternoon
Warren Alton Wherry, 71, Union township farmer, died at 1:30 a.m. today at his home on
Monroeville route 2, where he had resided his entire life. Death followed a week's
illness.
He was born in Union township Nov. 2, 1878, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Rice-Wherry.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, Olive; one daughter, Mrs. Chauncey Clem of Auburn; a
stepdaughter, Saralyn Sue Berden; one brother, Joseph Wherry of Fort Wayne, and two
sisters, Mrs. Hannah Miller of Union township and Mrs. Gertrude Hite of Brooklyn. Six
brothers and sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Black funeral home, the Rev.
Hofstetter of Monroeville officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery at Convoy, O.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
