Luella E. Hamrick, 100, Rockford, Ohio, a former rural Decatur resident, died in Shane
Hill Nursing Home, Wednesday, after a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a former hospital cook, and a member of Willshire, Ohio's
United Brethren Church.
The native of Ohio married Otto O. Ortt, who died in 1954. She married Calvin Hamrick
in 1957; he died in 1980. Among survivors are four stepdaughters, including Mrs. Fred
(Ruth) Sudduth, Decatur, and Mrs. Carl (Charlene) Dailey, Willshire, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday (Indiana time) at Zwick Sefton and Jahn
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia, Ohio. Visiting
hours are 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Friday (Indiana time). Preferred memorials are to the church.
