C. C. COTTRELL FARMER DIES SUNDAY AFTER EXTENDED ILLNESS
Clarence C. Cottrell, 68, Adams County farmer, died at his home on Decatur rural route
6, Sunday morning at 9 o'clock. Death was caused by complications after an illness of
nine years.
The deceased was born in Jefferson Township June 15, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
General B. Cottrell. His wife, Maggie, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Blanch King of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Oscar Teeple
of Decatur route 6; one sister, Mrs. Alice Bier of Indianapolis, one brother, Samuel
Cottrell of Decatur; and one granddaughter. One brother, Enoch, is deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Gillig &
Doan Funeral Home, Rev. John Parr of Berne, officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur
Cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home until time of the services.
