Kenneth D. Ross, 75, of Ohio City, Ohio, died at 12:19 a.m. Monday (Ohio time) in St.
Rita's Medical Center at Lima, Ohio.
He was born on March 4, 1929, in Champaign, Illinois, to Ralph and Glenna Bradley Ross.
Her married Elva "Sally" Irwin on November 27, 1949; she died on May 20, 1996.
He retired in 1991 after a 37-year career at the Phelps Dodge Co. plant in Fort Wayne. He
was a member of Moose Lodge 1311 in Decatur and the American Legion Post in Rockford,
Ohio.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Sandra) Clay of Rockford, Ohio, and Mrs. David
(Kathy) Parker and Mrs. Craig (Kendra) Amweg, both of Ohio City, Ohio; a sister, Mrs.
Lester (Sally) Schwartz of Berne; four brothers, Ralph "Sonny" Ross of Magley;
Dan Ross of Decatur; John Ross of Corunna; and Mike Ross of Monroe; seven grandchildren;
and 11 great-grandchildren.
A daughter and a brother are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home,
Decatur, with burial in Decatur Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the American Legion post in Rockford or to the American Cancer
Society chapters in Van Wert and Mercer counties of Ohio.
