ALBERT HUSER DIES TODAY AT COUNTY HOSPITAL
Illness Of Three Weeks Fatal; Rites Here Sunday
Albert Huser, 76, of 555 East Main street, widely know retired farmer, died at
6:50 a.m. today at the Adams County Memorial hospital following an illness of three weeks.
Death was attributed to cerebral thrombosis following a series of strokes and Mr.
Huser's condition had been critical for several days. His left leg was amputated a
week ago Wednesday when the circulation in the leg ceased but all efforts to save his life
failed.
The attending physician said today several blood clots formed and this was
followed by the development of gangrene in the left leg and in recent days in his right
leg.
Lifelong residents of this community, Mr. and Mrs. Huser moved to Berne 13 years
ago last month from their farm north-east of Berne where they resided for 37 years. After
moving to Berne, Mr. Huser was employed by the late L. L. Yager and since Mr. Yager's
death was maintenance man for Luther and Jerome Yager, at Pine Lake on their farms and
other properties.
Born in French township, July 23, 1881, Mr. Huser was the son of Jacob and Lydia
Liechty Huser. He was married to Eva Liddy, January 31, 1907, at the bride's home
with the Rev. Frank Hartman officiating. The couple observed their Golden Wedding
anniversary January 31 of this year.
Surviving are the wife; a son, Lester Huser, Fremont; five daughters, Mrs.
Delmas, (Margaret) Feasel, Decatur; Mrs. Leo (Vera) Hanni and Mrs. Maynard (Pauline)
Lehman, Berne; Mrs. L. A. (Olive) Mann, Geneva, R. R. 2 and Mrs. Don (Jean) Foreman, Berne
R. R. 2; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and five brothers, David Huser, Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.; Rufus Huser, Berne R. R. 1; Amos Huser, Talent, Oregon; Levi Huser,
Celina, Ohio, R. R.; and Vilas Huser, Fayette, Ohio. Two sons who died in infancy and
three sisters, Mrs. D. D. Habegger, Mrs. Amos Kirchhofer and Mrs. Adrian Hawk preceded in
death.
Mr. Huser attended the Trinity E. U. B. church where services will be held at 2
p.m. Sunday, the pastor, Rev. A. Givens officiating. Burial will be in the M. R. E.
cemetery.
The body is at the Yager Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p. m.
today
It will lie in state at the church from one p. m. Sunday until the time of the
funeral.
