ESTHER J. MILLER TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Esther J. Miller, 92, of 351 West Indiana Street, Nappanee, a former resident of
Decatur and Fort Wayne, died Monday morning at LuAnn nursing home in Nappanee.
Born in Van Wert, O., July 15, 1879, she was married to Edwin F. Miller February 25,
1902. Her husband preceded her in death September 24, 1944.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the United Methodist church and the Nappanee Senior
Citizens.
Surviving are one son, Prof. Kenneth E. Miller, of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs.
Vernon (Rowena) Sharkey of Nappanee; two brothers, Judson Everett of Fremont, and W. L.
Everett of Corvaillis, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Faye Finkhousen of Fort Wayne; two
grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and six
step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wright-Yoder funeral home in
Nappanee, with Rev. James B. Willyard officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home
after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The body will be brought to this city for burial in the Decatur
cemetery.
