The deceased was born in French township, April 7, 1855, the son of Philip and Verena
Moser Huser. On September 14, 1877 he was married to Lydia Liechty. The couple lived on
a farm northeast of Berne for many years, and Mr. Huser served as trustee on Monroe
township from 1904-1908.
Surviving are the widow and the following children: Mrs. Amos Kirchhofer of Wabash
township; Mrs. Adrian Hawk, Noblesville; Albert of Monroe township; Mrs. David D.
Habegger of Blue Creek township; David of Detroit, Michigan; Rufus of Wabash township;
Amos of east of Berne; Levi of Celina, Ohio and Vilas of West Unity, Ohio. Thirty-four
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive.
He was the last surviving member of a family of ten. Brothers and sisters who preceded
are Mrs. Nicholas Rich, Mrs. Chris Yoder, Mrs. John Schenbeck, Mrs. David Kocher, Mrs.
John ?oldner, Philip, John, Pete and David.
Mr. Huser was a member of the First Mennonite church here.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home on West Franklin street Friday afternoon
at 1:45 o'clock and at the First Mennonite church at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. C. H.
Suckau, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the MRE Cemetery, west of
