Rachelle - I saw your posting on the Adams County IN list at
INADAMS-L(a)rootsweb.com. We have some common names - it looks like a
good change for a connection. The most promising names are TERVEER and
KOHNE, as well as MILLER.
TERVEER/KOHNE - my grandmother was Anna Terveer, born March 11, 1883 in
Decatur. Her father was Bernard Terveer (actually Borchard John Bernard
Terveer) born July 11, 1843 in Aschendorf, Germany. He married Mary
Elizabeth BRANDEWEDA (or BRANDEWIEDE) on May 07, 1872 in St. Marys
Church, Decatur. Marys father was Henry Brandeweda, who married
Elizabeth KOHNE.
MILLER - I have a John Miller, born November 01, 1815 in Sarlouis,
Prussia, Germany, married Elizabeth MEIBERS on September 05, 1850, died
November 23, 1871 in Decatur, Indiana. My records have five children -
Margaret, John, Peter, Christena and Nicholas.
If any connection, get in touch and I can share more.
Happy New Year,
Mike Egan

My Adams County surnames are:
Miller, Tonnellier, Gase, Franz, Fuelling, Noonan, Gadbois, Rolape,
Kurber, Omlor, Kohne, Eiting, Terveer, Teeple.
My big excitement for this year was finding out the maiden name of my
husband's great-grandmother. Born Mary Susanah Tonnellier in 1851, she
married Andrew Miller and lived in Decatur for most of her life.
Happy New Year,
