I was told by one of the Brethren Church researchers that he believe the
Steeles followed a Hartman to Adams Co,IN. Steeles left Bedford Co,PA and
one generation was born in Ashland Co,OH, some are still there. The Beery
family name is also from Bedford Co,PA and was Brethren. Lynn Sewell

1860, Bk B, pg 510 (I was correct, BEERY not Berry. This couple probably
buried Beery (Antioch) cemetery, Washington Twp. 1979 History, Adams Co.
IN--pg 668: Malinda & John L.? Baker, as one of the Beery heirs, deeded
land for a new church, the first brick church in Adams Co. outside of
Decatur. This church was Brethren, later Missionary. The church is gone,
the cemetery is still maintained in excellent shape by the community.)
