Donna L. Lyons, 39, Logansport, a native of Pleasant Mills died at 8:21 a.m. today at
Memorial Hospital, Logansport. She had been suffering from cancer.
She was a psychiatric attendant for the Logansport State Hospital, retiring in 1986 due
to health reasons. She was a member of the Church of Brethren in Logansport and vice
president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
Born in Pleasant Mills on August 30, 1948, she was the daughter of Lowell B. and Neva
Riley-Noll, and was married March 20, 1976, in Logansport to William H. Lyons.
Survivors include the husband; the father and stepmother, Lowell and Lucille Noll,
Decatur; one son, William E. Lyons, at home; one daughter, Jodi Neal, at home; one
stepson, Rudy Lalich, Lemont Furnace, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Tina Nicklow, Logansport;
three brothers, Roger Noll, Fort Wayne; John Noll, Decatur; Duane Noll, Ohio City, O.;
four sisters, Sue Douglas, Pleasant Mills; Debra Double, Pleasant Mills; Carol Coffield,
Ossian; Marlene Straub, Monroe; two stepbrothers, Tony and Kenneth Wagner, both of
Decatur; and one stepsister, Linda Wagner, Decatur.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Brethren in Logansport.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Cass County. Friends may call at
McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, and one hour
prior to services at the church Saturday. Memorial are to the Memorial Hospital Hospice
program or the church.
