Oh, thou, our dearest treasure,
To whom our life we owe,
Thou who hast been our guardian,
We do true love bestow.
Our life is but a part of thine,
And from thy joys we fared,
But now the future awaits us,
Thy peace in heaven to share.
Mother, oh dear mother,
Our hearts chords nearly break,
As we to thee bid farewell,
Even though for thine joy's sake.
We long to meet thee mother
We long to share thy grace,
Thy love, thy peace, thy kindness,
The joy of thy heavenly place.
