Hi!
Have you seen the entry on pages 620-621 for Jess Tricker? Jess is a
brother of Nora Tricker (1888-1975) "She first married Frank Railing and
later married Joe Zarafus. She lived in Decatur and Bluffton." She is one
of ten children born to George and Sarah Jane Robinson Tricker. His parents
were Jeremiah and Frances Grafton Tircker. Jeremiah Tricker was born in
February, 1831 in England to James and Sarah Tricker. The family of Jeremiah
Tricker immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1846. Jeremiah married Frances
Grafton on Oct. 31, 1949 while both still lived in Canada. Frances was a
school teacher before marrying; she was the daughter of James and Frances
Grafton, born in Toronto; her father was born in Kentucky, and her mother in
Ireland. Jeremiah and Frances came to Adams County, Indiana, soon after
their marriage. They bought 80 acres of heavily timbered land in Section 17
of Blue Creek Township. At the time of his death, April 22, 1870, Jeremiah
had accumulated 160 acres of land. Frances and Jeremiah had nine children.
There's more about George and Sarah, and George's part in building the
Great Northern Fair, 1904, in Willard Steele Park. He died in 1969, and is
buried in the North Salem cemetery. Blue Creek Township, southeast of
Decatur.
