I've been working on a project to put as much of the 1850 census as possible into a
searchable database. This is a database where you can search on EVERY name in each
jurisdiction, not just heads of household.
I rely on previously transcribed data and Lana Magiera has been kind enough to allow me to
load her transcriptions for a number of counties, including this one.
You can see the latest version of the site (just updated today!) here:

Things are still about rough around the edges, and I only have a small number of counties
loaded right now, but it is improving all the time. I hope to add as many 1850 counties as
possible, then expand to other years, and maybe slave schedules, too. If you know of an
1850 county's transcription I can load, please let me know.
Check out the site and let me know what you think. Bug reports, comments, and advice are
welcome.
