Hello-
I've seen people on other newsgroups dig through their files, and type

same.
Below are several articles from the Monroe Newspaper (the title is cut off
so I don't know the title or date) I do know that the approximate date is
mid-October 1930.
Sincerely, Chris Andrews

Ferntheil to be Installed
Decatur Minister to Become State Chaplain of Legion. Rev. Harry H.
Ferntheil, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Decatur, will go to
Indianapolis Sunday where he will be installed as chaplain of the Indiana
Division of the American Legion. Rev. Ferntheil was named to the state post
at the state convention last August at Fort Wayne.
All newly elected state officers will will be inducted into office at
special services Sunday, at Indianapolis headquarters. Several other Decatur
Legionnaires, including Pa[?] H. Grahm, past commander of Adams Post and
campaign manager for Rev. Ferntheil in his recent contest for state chaplain
will accompany Rev. Ferntheil to Indianapolis.
At the Fort Wayne convention when Rev. Ferntheil was named to the state
post, it was the first time in the history of the American Legion that a
Decatur man had been honored with a state office.
The post of chaplain is an important one, and always is sought by a number
of war veterans. The Decatur party will return from the installation
services late Sunday evening.
