Mrs. Audrey Motter's Sister, Mrs. Roy Kaehr, Dies at 63
Sister of Mrs. Audrey Motter of Bluffton, Mrs. Roy (Maxine) Kaehr, 63, of Decatur, who had
been ill the past few months, died at 10 a.m. Thursday in Decatur Hospital where she had
been a patient two days.
A member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur, Mrs. Kaehr, was born Aug.
10, 1912 in Adams County to Marion and Della Young Tinkham. Her marriage to Roy L. Kaehr,
who survives, took place Sept. 4, 1937.
In addition to the husband and Bluffton sister she is survived by four daughters, Mrs.
Claude (Darlene) West, Mrs. Charles (Patty) Ludy and Mrs. Bobby (Cheryl) Jackson, all of
Decatur, and Mrs. Clair (Gloria) Inniger of Fort Wayne; a son, Barney L. Kaehr of Decatur
Route 2; another sister Mrs. Bernard (Ester) Johnson of Fort Wayne, 13 grandchildren, one
great-grandchild, eight step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Calling from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and until noon Sunday will
be at the Winteregg-Linn and Haggard Funeral Home in Decatur.
At 1 p.m. Sunday the body will be taken to the St. Mark's United Methodist Church for
services there at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. James S. Hook. Burial will be in the Decatur
Cemetery.
Memorials have been designated to St. Mark's United Methodist Church Missions.
