Mrs. William Noll Dies This Morning
Mrs. Florence Alathea Noll, 74, wife of William M. Noll, died at 4:20 o'clock
this morning at her home in Pleasant Mills, following an illness of three weeks.
Born Oct. 15, 1886 in Van Wert county, Ohio, she was a daughter of James and Marietta
Price-Roop, and had spent most of her life in Adams county. She was married to William M.
Noll Nov. 30, 1905.
Mrs. Noll was a member of the Pleasant Mills Baptist Church and the Women of the
Moose.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Charles G. Noll of Antwerp, O., Lawrence W.
Noll of near Linn Grove, and Lowell B. Noll of Pleasant Mills; nine daughters, Mrs.
Winston (Martha) Rawley of Decatur, Mrs. Arney (Ruth) Anspaugh of Racine, Wis., Mrs. Claud
(Genevieve) Hemlinger of Fort Wayne, Miss Vivian Noll of Rome, N. Y., Mrs. Warren (Maxine)
Massoth of Richmond, Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Goddard of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Ned (Thelma)
Kelsey of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Karl (Kathleen) Johnson of Decatur, and Mrs. Richard (Marilyn)
Young of Decatur; 46 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, the Rev. Carl
V. Roop of Westerville, O., Cloyce Roop of Los Angeles, Calif., and Garth Roop of Galion,
O., and two sisters, Mrs. James Hoctor of Barberton, O., and Mrs. Edward Duriez of
Trenton, Mich. Three children, two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Zwick funeral home, the
Rev. Oakley Masten and the Rev. Allison Van Wormer officiating. Burial will be in the
Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today until time of
the services.
