The following obit was found among my late father's belongings:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CONNER, Blanche
Blanche Conner, 78, 529 W. Franklin St., died Friday evening at Randolph County Hospital.
She was a native of Adams County for 44 [sic] resided in Winchester for 44 years.
Mrs. Conner was a member of the Evangelical Church.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph O. WATSON, Marion, and
Mrs. John W. POTTS, Union City; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Forrest FLECK,
Decatur.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Hodson
officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Handwritten at the top of the clipping is "Died August 14". There is no year on
the obit, but the reverse side of the clipping contains part of an article which refers to
President Nixon, which should narrow down the time period a bit.
I'm posting this here in the hopes that someone will recognize this woman. I'd
especially like to know her maiden name. Her obit was found in the folder which contained
obits for other members of my mother's side of the family. Surnames include RADCLIFF,
FITZPATRICK, WILSON, DAFOE (sp) all of Jay County, IN.
Thank you in advance.
