Hi Everyone,
Well, I may be biting off more than I can chew, but...I have a strong desire
to get the WPA birth, death and marriage indexes on the web site. I have a
head start, in that I have them in digital format already. I got them from a
source that had scanned the original documents.
Because scanning is sometimes inaccurate, they all need to be proofread
against the originals in the Decatur Public Library. That's where I need
some help, since I live 5 hours away. If there is someone who would be able
to devote the time and energy to do the proof reading, I'll send you a print
out of what I have on my computer.
I look at this as a long term project, not something that will be done in a
few weeks. For one thing, once I get corrections, I have to edit the files
and then prepare them for the web, which is no small task.
If you have the time and desire, let me know privately, and we'll discuss
the project.
