Hello;
I was reading your message concerning the birth and death dates listed in the cemetary
listing at Reynolds for William Elzey Jr. It is possible that whoever did the reading of
the stone may have mistaken a 3 for an 8.
The stone may have read 84y 3m 17d instead of 84y 8m 17d . With that in mind, according
to
the figuration for when he died, it would be 25th day - 17 th day = 8th day;
June - March = 3 months and the year 1904 - 84 years would be 1820, giving the death date
of
8 March, 1820 which would correspond with his age in the census.
If he died in 1904, is there a possibility that there would be a death certificate for him
at the recorder's office in the courthouse? That would probably be the best source of
information.
