EMILIE EHLERDING TAKEN BY DEATH
Miss Emilie Ehlerding, 86, of Decatur, route 2, two and one-half miles west of Preble, died at 8:55 p.m. Friday at the Decatur Community Care Center, where she had been a resident since November of 1970. She had been in poor health for some time.
A lifelong resident on the same farm, she was born in Adams county February 3, 1886, a daughter of William and Louisa Bieberich Ehlerding, and was never married.
Miss Ehlerding was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church at Preble, and the Sewing Circle of the church.
Only near survivor is a niece, Mrs. Emma Meyer of Fort Wayne. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Zwick funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran church at Preble, with Rev. Norman Kuck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Sunday until time of the services.

SUSIE DILLING TAKEN BY DEATH
Miss Susie Mary Dilling, 78, of Laketon, a retired teacher and native of Adams county, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stratford House, Wabash, where she had been a patient for several years. She had been in failing health for the past four years.
Born at Preble, Aug. 19, 1893, she was a daughter of Dave and Minnie Werling-Dilling, and was never married.
Miss Dilling, who had resided at Laketon for 30 years, was a Bible teacher in the Laketon public school system for over 25 years until retiring. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church at Laketon.
Surviving are two brothers, Louie Dilling of North Webster, and Otto Dilling of Griffith, and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Casper and Oscar, are deceased.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Zwick funeral home, with Rev. Floyd Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today until time of the services.

GEORGE HILL, 61, DIES AT HOSPITAL
George L. Hill, Sr., of Roanoke, route 2, a native of Decatur, died at 1:15 a.m. today at the Parkview memorial hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Hill had been employed by the General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne since 1941 until he became ill March 29.
Surviving are his wife, Etola; one son, George L. Hill, Jr., of Roanoke; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Piatt of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Stanley Goff of Roanoke; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Klaehn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, and the body will be brought to this city for burial in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
