Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
The Adams Co., Indiana web site has moved...back to its original site effectively immediately. Please bookmark
the new location:

Note that all Rootsweb addresses have officially added the word ".ancestry.", but it will still work even if
you don't add that word.
In short, the new URL is the same as the old one, except without the "2" at the end.

John Frederick Murphy, 83, a resident of Celina, Ohio, died on Saturday morning, September 6, 2008 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on December 22, 1924, in Jay County, to James and Pearl (Henry) Murphy. He was married on August 24, 1946 to Doris Maxine Manning.
Visitation is from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10 at W.H. Dick and Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio, and from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 11 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the service at 10:30 a.m. Officiating is Father Richard Riedel. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina, Ohio.

Arthur "Juggy" Hurst Jr., 79, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
He was born in Decatur on September 30, 1928, to Arthur J. Hurst Sr. and Anna Burkhead Hurst.
He married Dorothy H. (Minich) in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hurst of Fort Wayne; one son, Michael Hurst of Decatur; five daughters, Darlene (Stan) Stauffer, Susie (Kevin) Burry, Becky (Jim) Everett, and Mary (Gary) Watkins, all of Decatur, and April Cook of Fort Wayne; three stepchildren,, Karen (Howard) Estep of Fort Wayne, Steve (Terri) Felger of Georgia, and Jim (Cheryl) Felger of Fort Wayne; five brothers, Richard (Ruth) Hurst, Gene (Shirley) Hurst, Jerry (Carmen) Hurst, Bob (Dixie) Hurst, and Ronald "Mike" Hurst, all of Decatur; two sisters: Donnabell (Glen) Geyer and Barbara (George) Geyer, both of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arthur retired in 1980 from Dana Corp. in Fort Wayne after 32 years of service. He was member of American Legion Post 423 in Orland, Indiana; Moose Lodge 1311 in Decatur; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6236 in Decatur. He served his country in the United States Army.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008, at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home in Decatur, with a Moose memorial service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 423 of Orland.
Memorials are to the Big Turkey Lake Kids' Fishing Tournament.
