Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I did not know that John Brandyberry had been discharged in February 1863, so I can add that to the narrative. Other than that, I do not know anything about what he did during the war, other than the generic information about Company H.
Also, I do not have anything on William Smith, William Mallonee or John Cowan as to what they did during the war. Do you have any of the details? For example, it would be great to find out when John Cowan was wounded, and when he was captured and then escaped. I am hoping that there are a few individuals who have obtained the service records of their ancestors from the National Archives and thus can share some personal information, not only about the war service, but also about the individuals such as height, complexion, hair, eyes, etc. I had ordered about ten of these several years ago, but gave them to the Decatur Library so no longer have access to them.
