Hello list subscribers. My people are mostly from Adams, Wells, and Allen Counties. Names include Somers, Sommers, Summers, Rock, Judd, Smith, Small and Whitcomb. Many of these people lived in the Poe and Hoagland area in Allen Co., Indiana. If anyone else out there is researching any of these names, I would enjoy hearing from you and sharing information.

Hi Listers,
I just wanted you to be aware of new content on the Adams Co. INGenWeb
site. Click on the Cemeteries button to find Reynolds Cemetery
Obituaries submitted by Margie Pearce and Kay Ryback from a compilation
by Nola Rains.
Nola has also submitted a rather complete list of burials in the Alpha
and Reynolds cemeteries.
There is also now a search engine (Free Find) on the Search page. It
automatically search the entire site for new material every two weeks
(I'm trying that time frame now because of the size of the site and the
length of time it takes to rebuild the index). If you have problems with
it, please let me know at the address below.
Thanks and happy hunting!

The Heritage Room of the Berne Public Library majors on the folks living in the south half of the county. Our real strength, ofcourse, is among the Swiss. I often do look ups in the materials that are located here at the library.
Check out our holdings in the Heritage Room portion of the library's web site located at www.bernepl.lib.in.us

Hi all
I am researching the following families from Adams County:
FRITZINGER (Oscar d. 1914 and his son Almond aka Al E.)
DUTCHER (Samuel 1812-1899, his son Almond 1838-1902, and Almond's daughter Mary Martha aka Mattie 1865-1948)
DAVY (James Davy d. before 1910 and his daughter Mary Annetta 1868-1964 - James' father was possibly William)
TRICKER (Anne Tricker born in England mother of James Davy, I think)
FRY (William Franklin Fry 1857-1941)
RICE (Benjamin James Rice 1817-1895 and his daughter Mary A. Rice b. 1840)
PILLARS (Elizabeth 1817-1846, wife of Benjamin Rice and mother of Mary A. Rice)
I recently visited Decatur, Indiana and stopped by the library for a few hours. I had the pleasure of meeting Nola Rains there who directed me to the cemetery where the FRITZINGERs are buried (thanks Nola!).
I'm glad to share anything I have with anyone. I have quite a bit on the Fritzingers and Dutchers (thanks again, Nola!). Would really like to find more on the DAVY and TRICKER lines.
