Does any have the dd locations for John Lee and Nancy Daniels? They appear on the 1880 census for Adams Co, IN. There is a Lee listed in the WPA death list for Adams Co, for a female without a name. Could that be Nancy Daniels Lee? Lynn Hilty Sewell
Trying to determine the parents of Elizabeth Roop (1838-1877). She first married Benjamin Chase in Seneca Co, OH, in 1855. Her second husband was Peter Troutner. Peter and Elizabeth married on 16 Mar 1865, Adams Co, IN. The marriage index lists her as Elizabeth Chase, but I'm hoping that the actual document will list her parents.
Would someone be so kind as to look up Elizabeth and Peter Troutner's marriage and let me know if and who her parents are?
Thank you!

Hi Shirley,
This is the first time I have looked at this site on the internet. I am doing family research. My grandfather was Valentine Steiner. He was born and raised in Berne, Indiana. He married my grandfather in Cleveland, OH. I was wondering if he was any relation to you.

I have received this several times, but we all need to remember to pray for
our military as they protect us.
A prayer request from Cathy Mitchell. Her husband, Tony, is an Air Force
Commander in Afghanistan. She received an urgent email from him this
morning. It said, "We need Christians to pray, pray, pray." Please pray
for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Pass this on to as many as you think will respond. Considering the
increase in terrorist activity in Iraq, this prayer is more urgent than
ever. PLEASE. . ..pray always for our military men and women.
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen"
When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for
our ground, air and navy personnel in every area of the middle east.
There is nothing attached... This can be very powerful.... Just send
this to all the people in your address book. Remember, you will be
blessed too!
Do not stop this prayer chain, please... Of all the gifts you could give
to anyone in the US Military, be it Army, Navy, Marines or National
Guard, Prayer is the very best one... Amen!
Can anyone tell me when Burg Womack married Rose ?. Her maiden name was
Durbin, then she married another man that I haven't found yet.
Burg and Rose lived in Decatur in 1930's and 1940's. He had 3 children,
George, Woodson Lee (W.L.), and Bonnie. If anyone has any information on
this family, I would really appreciate it, as she was my great-aunt.
Thanks,
Mary

I am also looking for information on an Eli Winn. He was my great great grandfather and I'm also trying to find additional information on his parents (I believe his father was William) and where he died and was buried. I don't have my information with me so I'm going from memory. Eli married Sobrina Jane Hendricks from Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. They lived in Decatur County and had several sons and a daughter, Ella Nancy (born about 1882). According to a family book I have, Eli died when Ella was very young in the early 1880's. Sobrina and the children returned to Rochester where her family was. Sobrina and two of her children are buried in Rochester, Indiana, but Eli is not. If this sounds like it might be the same Eli, let me know. I can provide more concrete dates, etc.

Justus L Kelly was my mother's father - She was raised by her aunt, Mrs. Ben Liechty - (Elizabeth Lee Kelly). I don't know the first names of Mrs. James Newcomer or Mrs Wallace Stephenson. I can tell you that the Newcomer's had a son Corwin who until recently lived in Geneva, In. Stephenson's had a son also named Wallace who moved to Nebraska and worked as a vet in Papillion, Nebraska. My mother, Mary Pauline Kelly Liechty Kaeser, known as Pauline was raised by Elizabeth and Ben Liechty. She died in 1982. We haven't heard from Wally Stephenson since that time.

Hello and Happy New Year!
I was going through a box of old books the other day. Many belonged to
my Dad and some were inscribed to him from various relatives as long ago
as 1913.
But one is a mystery. It is "Arithmetisches Grempelbuch fur beutsche
Volksschulen Nordamerikas" ( as best I can read the German script)
published in St. Louis by "Lutherischer Concordia Berlag, 1888). Now I
remember enough German from Miss Weidler's class to understand what the
book is (it's a hard cover small book, 55 pages). The only inscription
inside the front cover is the name "Cl. Schoenstedt" (the "oe" is really
an "o" with an oomlaut).
The only Schoenstedt I have in my family data is Louisa who married
Frederick Weiland, and I don't think that's the right one. Does anyone
know of any Schoenstedts who might have been living around 1900 or so
with the first name beginning with "Cl"?
Thanks for any clues.

I'm looking for descendants or information about the following families:
BOERGER. Otto (born abt 1864) married Fredericka Reichert (1874-1953). According to the 1910 census of Root Twp, Adams County, they had six children -- Flora, Hugo, William, Alma, Lydia and Otto, Jr.
FUELLING. Jacob (b. abt. 1855) and spouse (No. 2?) Mary Reichert (1876-1949). The 1920 census lists them in Root Twp with six children -- Carl (or Charles), Oscar, Gustav, Herbert, Ruth and Martin. Earlier census records show a daughter Minnie, who may be Jacob's by a previous marriage.
WETTER. William (b. abt. 1867). Shown in 1900 census with wife, Emelia Reichert (born about 1878, died 1973). By 1920 Emelia was a widow living in Shirley, Maumee Twp, with 7 children -- Oscar, Raymond, Martin (?), Arvada, Viola, Cora and Orville.
Fredericka Boerger, Mary Fuelling, and Emelia Wetter were sisters, daughters of Wilhelm Reichert (my gr-uncle) and his wife Christina, of Berne, IN.
I'll gladly share information with anyone who has an interest in these families.
Thank you for any help.
