My great-grandparents owned a farm in Adams County, Indiana (in the French Township) . They were married in 1876, but he may have purchased the land before that (but not prior to 1870). They moved to Oregon in early 1882, so would have sold the farm by then.
My request: I'm looking for someone within driving distance of Decatur who would be willing to go to the county courthouse and see if they can find purchase/sale records (deed transfers) under the name of Fred Kaser in that time period. I'll be happy to pay reasonable costs for your time, transportation, and copying costs to acquire copies of any such deeds. If you're willing to do this, please send me an email! Thanks!!!

I know that you have already found out where Crawford Cemetery is. You can also find some information about the cemetery on page 317 of The 1979 History of Adams County, Indiana. I have been to the cemetery and it is down a dirt road. I received my directions from a funeral home director and I can't remember them now.
I went to the cemetery in search of Josiah Crawford b.4-21-1811 D.2-19-1894 grave. Could this be the Crawford you where looking for? He was a brother to my gggrandmother Mary Crawford b. who married John Allison. I did make pictures of the grave of Josiah and his wife. I tell you all this in hopes we are looking for the same Crawford. Thanks
