The Indiana Historical Society will host a genealogy lecture, "Finding
Ancestors Who Have Fallen Through the Cracks of Time," from 10 a.m. - 12
p.m. on November 16 at the Society's headquarters, 450 W. Ohio Street.
Genealogist Chris McHenry will discuss how to find and use little-known
sources, such as county commissioner records, county poor records,
newspapers and other sources that may have information about people who
did not own land or leave probate records.
M. Teresa Baer, editor of The Hoosier Genealogist, will share some
of the manuscript sources she uses for articles and will talk about the
types of records used for IHS genealogy books, such as church meeting
minutes, orphanage admissions records and early political records.
The cost to attend the lecture is $10; $5 IHS members. Seating is

Mrs. Emil Baumgartner Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Elizabeth Baumgartner, wife of Emil Baumgartner, died about 12 o'clock, last midnight, at her home 8 miles east of Bluffton in Adams County. Death came after an illness of only about half an hour.
The fatal seizure was attributed to an acute attack of heart disease. She suffered from spasms and rapidly grew worse until death came.
The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Tonner both of whom are living.
Surviving besides the husband are four sisters and one brother.
The deceased was a member of the Christian Apostolic church, and funeral services will be held at the church Thursday.
The funeral cortege leaves the residence at 12 o'clock noon.

Attack Fatal to Sam Baumgartner
Sam H. Baumgartner, 66, of Bluffton Route 4 died suddenly at 4:45 a.m. at his home. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born Oct. 3, 1895 in Adams County, he was the son of Joel and Rosina Schwartz Baumgartner. His marriage May 5, 1917 in Wells County was to Emma Fiechter, who survives.
A lifelong resident of Adams County and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Mr. Baumgartner was a farmer.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are four daughters, Mrs. Wilmer (Clara) Gerber and Mrs. Ralph (Lucinda) Steffen, both of Decatur Route 4, Miss Beulah Baumgartner and Miss Lorine Baumgartner, both of Bluffton Route 4; two sons, Raymond of Bluffton Route 4 and Glen of Phoenix, Ariz.
Also surviving are three brothers, Louis of Paulding, O., Cornelius and John, both of Bluffton Route 4, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Goodwin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and at 10:30 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Rev. Sam Aeschliman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Kipfer Baby Dies This Forenoon
Mahilda Irene Kipfer, 5 months and eighteen days old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Kipfer passed away at the Kipfer home in French township, Adams county, this morning. The babe has been quite serious for the past few days. However, her health had been bad since birth. The babe was born in Bluffton, September 15, 1926.
She is survived by the parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 9 o'clock Sunday morning with service at the Christian Apostolic church at 10 o'clock.

I'm seeking information for a Reinhart Limestoll - (Reinhard Leimenstoll) He married Rebecca Benneyhoff. Their children were Frank, Cora, Sarah, & Charles. Rebecca is buried at the St. John Cemetery near Vera Cruz, Indiana. Her son Frank is buried next to her. Daughter Cora is buried a the Elm Grove Cemetery near Bluffton, Indiana.
