Hi Everyone,
I've been flooded the last few days with bounced email messages. Messages to
the INADAMS list have been bouncing back to me from some email addresses.
Typically there are two problems that cause messages to bounce. First,
someone changes their email address and abandons an old address without
unsubscribing from the list.
Second, someone's mailbox at their internet provider becomes full (often
when the person is out of town) and the internet provider rejects further
messages.
Because of the number of bounced messages, I have set the INADAMS list to
automatically unsubscribe an email address after three unsuccessful attempts
to send a message to it. So if you suddenly find that you are no longer
receiving messages, send me a note and I'll check to see if you are still on
the list.
In the meantime you can help. If you are giving up an email address, please
unsubscribe from the list FROM THAT ADDRESS before abandoning it. If you are
going to be away for a time, and there's a chance that your mailbox could
become full, please unsubscribe temporarily, and then subscribe again when
you return. All the messages are archived, so you can always go back to see
what you missed.
Thanks for your help.

Hello folks! I'm having a tough time getting copies from the Adams Co Court
House. The Clerk at the court House no longer makes copies of marriages.
I sent a request along with a check to cover the $2 per copy & a SASE.
My check & info was returned with no explanation (I know these records
exist) but w/ a letter from a local researcher offering their services
to research for $10 per hour. That was nice of them but I don't need research
done for me, I only need copies of marriage records! I gave the names of
both parties & the exact date of the marriage. So exactly how does one
go about getting a copy? I live in VA by the way.
Thanks, Cindy
