Surname: Bieberich, Scheumann, Kiess

I have some information on the Henry Bieberich-Sophia Scheumann family
through their children John Christian and Elise Margaret who both married
into my Kiess line. I'll be glad to send anything of interest to you that
I have. The Kiess family info I have at the Adams Co. web genealogy site
has not been updated lately, as I'm working on revamping the site.

Surname: Werling, Bieberich, Scheumann, Walters
-------------------------
I am related to Daniel Bieberich, b. 1821 in Adams Co.,, Heinrich's brother.
I have a fair amount of information on the Bieberich and Werling lines,
but I have very little on the Scheumann line and would be interested in
trading info. with you. I want to get the Scheumann line from Heinrich's
wife, Maria Sophia, to present. Plus, I'm always looking up the line from
Heinrich Bieberich. I have the Beiberich's back to ~1699 with Johann Peter
Bieberich.

Hello Everyone,
I've been spending some time organizing my research records and came across
something you may or may not be aware of. I have had, for years, references
to an Index to Supplemental Records--Marriage Transcripts that I found in
the Decatur Library. In particular, there were references to two specific
books, Book 9 and Book 11 and notes to the fact that they were missing (I
had even verified that with the staff in the County Clerk's office at one
time).
As it turns out, those books are NOT missing, but the reference to them in
the index is incorrect. Book 9 is labeled on the spine as Book I (that's
Roman numeral 1 or number 1, depending on your interpretation) 1882-1894.
Book 11 is actually 1894-1897. They are (or were last time I was there)
located on the shelves upstairs in the clerk's storage area, before the
earliest marriage books A, B, etc.
Those books cover only a short time span, but contain a wealth of
information including the ages of bride and groom, their parents, witnesses
and location of the marriage, and often the residence and occupation of the
groom (and bride). The actual license is located in a separate book, if
you're looking for that. These books contain the marriage returns.
If you haven't looked in them, take a minute to do so next time you're in
the courthouse.

I just returned from a trip to Germany, specifically Northwest Germany
where many Adams county (Decatur) settlers came from, including
Bersenbrück, Ankum, Aschendorf and Emsburen, Germany. I focused on
research of ancestors of my family in the line of Voglewede (or
Vogelwede or Vogelwedde) and Terveer, but I know many other settlers
were from this area. See my web site summarizing the trip at
http://home.fuse.net/egan/germany.html (includes pictures).

Hello.
Can someone tell me where the Adam's County Poor Farm Cemetery is? I know
where the County Farm building is but not sure where the cemetery was
located. I would like to go out there and take photos of the building and
where the cemetery once was.
Thanks...
