Catharine Hall, by McIntyre and James her attorneys, has filed complaint in
the circuit court for divorce from John Hall alleging that they were married
on October 5, 1883, and lived together until September 12, 1893, when they
separated. She charges him with cruel and inhuman treatment calling her
vile names in the presence of their children, frequently accusing her of
illicit intercourse with other men, threatening her life and often beating
her and pulling her out of bed.
