Double Birth Anniversary Celebrated by Big Dinner at Home
Last Sunday was the birth anniversary of William J. Woods and also of his
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jack Woods who was formerly Miss Lena Calvin. The
occasion was celebrated by a big dinner in the nature of a surprise at the
home of Mrs. Woods' mother, Mrs. Sadie Calvin, on East Main Street.
William, known by his many friends as "Daddy," is 64 but 'tis only on rare
occasions that he divulges his age. Mrs. Woods is 35 and, unlike Dad, she
cares not who knows. She and Jack were united in marriage November 26,
1906, and have one child, Miss Wilma, a charming and popular young lade of
15 who is in her second year in high school.
Mr. Woods and his daughter-in-law are lifetime residents of Nashville, both
born here and never resided anywhere else.
