Robert Crosier, Dr. Adam Douglas, Anthony Dodd and wife, Adam Dodd and 23
other members of their families came from New York and settled in Boone
Township on the 3rd day of June 1816. Mr. Crosier bought a thousand acres
of land in that township from the government for which he paid twelve and
one-half and twenty-five cents per acre.
