THOMAS-The funeral of Mrs. John Thomas, who died at the family home north of
Azalia Monday evening, took place Wednesday afternoon at Friends Church near
Azalia at two o'clock. The remains were enclosed in a steel vault. Rev.
Allen Jay of Richmond was telegraphed for to preach the funeral. Mrs.
Thomas was about 70 years of age and had been married to Mr. Thomas about 15
years. She is worth $20,000 in her own right which, by agreement between
her and Mr. Thomas at the time of their marriage, goes to her sisters at her
death.
