At Medora, Jackson County, nearly the entire membership of the United
Brethren Church followed their late pastor, Rev. John W. Melton, into the
Methodist Episcopal Church. Sixty in all went with him, including all the
officers of the church, the latter conveying the title to the church edifice
valued at $2,500, to the Methodists. Rev. Mr. Melton is an able and
influential minister.
