SHOULD HAVE PAID THEIR TAXES
Corydon, Ind., October 28-Richard Phillips and his two sons have been
arrested for interfering with officers. Two deputy sheriffs went to their
farm in Posey Township, this county, to make a levy on property for
delinquent taxes. When Phillips and his sons saw the officers, they armed
themselves and declared they would shoot anyone attempting to make such
levy. The officers procured aid and overpower the men, placing them in
jail.
