Randi,
Thank you for sharing this article. I believe that the brothers,
Robert and Michael Kirkham, who are listed are grandsons of one of
the brothers of my 4th great-grandmother, Jane Kirkham, who married
John Kelly circa 1770 in Virginia. She and her brothers, Robert
Kirkham (circa 1742-1819), Michael Kirkham (1746-1835) and Samuel
Kirkham (circa 1744- after December 1821) were the children of Henry
Kirkham and his first wife, Margaret (possibly Hall). Since Robert
was the only one of the three who as far as I know lived in Harrison
County and he died there, they are most likely his descendants
although the names of Robert, Michael and Samuel along with Henry are
used repeatedly in the Kirkham family for several generations.
Several of Jane Kirkham Kelly's children left Virginia circa 1800 and
ended up in Clark County and Johnson County, IN.
If anyone is interested in more information about this family or has
information about them I would be happy to exchange information.
