December 12, 1895, Salem, Washington County, Ind. Farmer. Entered service
July 25, 1918. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to 48th Company, 12th
Training Battalion, 159th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Camp McClellan,
Ala.; assigned to Battery D, 27th Regiment, Field Artillery. Died of
pneumonia October 27, 1918, at Camp McClellan. Buried in Crown Hill
Cemetery, Salem, Ind. Survived by widow, Dana Hoggatt Loyd, Salem, Ind.
