HOOSIER WORLD WAR VET DISAPPEARS FROM HOME
Jeffersonville, Ind., June 15-Raymond Doherty, 34, a World War veteran,
disappeared from his home here Wednesday it was learned today. Doherty, who
is a druggist, has suffered from a nervous disease brought by shell shock.
He has a stiff right leg caused by a wound received in action in France. He
is 5'7" tall, weighs 137 pounds and wore a brown suit and hat when last
seen. He was known to have papers to identify him and money on his person.
American Legion posts were asked to be on the lookout for Doherty and to
notify H. A. Wenige, the commander of the Jeffersonville, Ind., American
Legion Post if Doherty is found.
