Bentley Mauck, private, son of Sam C. and Lucina Mauck; born August 22,
1893, Harrison County, Ind. Engineer. Entered service September 20, 1917,
Corydon, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to Company L, 335th
Infantry. Transferred to Camp Sevier, S. C.; assigned to Company K, 120th
Infantry, 30th Division. Embarked May 12, 1918. Died of wounds September
3, 1918, received while fighting with British forces. Buried in Military
Cemetery near Esquelvecq, Nord.
