VETERAN RIVER MAN DIES AT FRANKFORT
Frankfort, Ky., March 10-John L. Jones, for years an engineer on steamers
plying the Kentucky River, died at his home here early this morning, aged 73
years.
While running on the J. C. Burdett for the Frankford Elevator Coal Company,
he was stricken with paralysis. His wife and three children survive.
Mr. Jones was a member of the Methodist Church for many years and a highly
respected citizen. Two brothers, James and Joe Jones, reside respectively
at Scottsburg, Indiana, and Clinton, Ill.
