Chicago, Ill., October 6-An interesting bigamy case is on trial in Judge
Burk's court. The parties are all theatrical people.
Charles M. Robinson, formerly a member of the Old Tennessee Company, is
defendant. Luella J. Goodrich, formerly with the Barrel of Money Company,
is the alleged wife No. 1 and prosecuting witness. Robinson is now living
with Olive Coolidge, formerly a member of the Old Tennessee Company. Mrs.
Goodrich, who is a handsome French woman, claims she married Robinson in
Scottsburg, Indiana, July 4, 1892.
After living with her three years and being the father of her child, she
alleges he abandoned her, and September 25, 1895, married Olive Coolidge at
Windsor, Canada. Robinson's defense is that another man assumed his name
and deceived alleged wife No. 1.
