A Clerical Villain-Rev. Dr. William M. Finley, formerly of Grayville, Ill.,
was arrested at Salem, Ind., on Thursday last, charged with preforming an
abortion on the person of a girl named Mary Linley (consider Lindley a
spelling variant), in Grayville recently. He was arrested on the affidavit
of his victim, but while on his way to Carmi, in charge of the coroner of
White County, managed to escape. A reward of $100 is offered for his
apprehension.
