DR. FITZBUTLER AND IRVINE MCCOY ACQUITTED OF HER MURDER
Dr. Thomas Fitzbutler, a well-known colored physician of Louisville, and
Irvine McCoy of Chambersburg, Orange County, Indiana, were acquitted of the
charge of murdering Flora Elliott at Louisville several days ago. Judge
Thompson of the city court, in dismissing the case, said that it was evident
that a murder had been committed but that the evidence produced was not
sufficient to hold Fitzbutler or McCoy.
