RESULTS IN DEATH
Amos Pfrimmer, a stepson of Frank Thevenot of Spencer Township was found
lying in the throes of death last Saturday in what is known as the
Snellbaker woods by John and Joseph McCutchen. The attention of these
gentlemen who were passing was attracted to a dog standing upon a log
looking around. They went up to the log and found young Pfrimmer lying upon
one side of it and his gun on the other. It is supposed that young Pfrimmer
was standing upon the log and let his gun fall causing it to go off. The
contents of the load struck him on the abdomen, glancing off, struck him on
the mouth knocking out his lower teeth, and then passing through his nose,
knocking out one eye, and lodging in his head. He was carried to his home
but died within an hour after arriving there. The deceased was about
sixteen years of age.
